The Bracebridge
The Bracebridge, a lakeside restaurant located in Sutton Park, is renowned for its fine dining experience. Under the stewardship of Darron and Claire Brough, the restaurant offers a unique culinary experience to customers in the West Midlands.
The Bracebridge is led by Claire’s twin brothers, Scott and Steven Lewis, who bring their expertise as Le Gavroche alumni to create exceptional dishes. The restaurant’s vision is to provide exquisite cuisine in a picturesque lakeside setting, offering a memorable dining experience for all.
Challenge
After working with Richard Vickers for several years, The Bracebridge sought to upgrade their existing EPOS system and find a new provider that specialised in supporting hospitality businesses. With Richard having now joined Langley, they approached him to explore new solutions and seek his recommendations.
The challenges they faced included the need for a new EPOS system that could integrate the restaurant, a separate busy outside kiosk, and a system capable of taking orders on the bustling 75+ cover terrace. Additionally, the restaurant hosts events for which they required additional EPOS and payment terminals.
Experience
The Bracebridge contacted Richard Vickers, who provided valuable insights and recommendations based on his experience and knowledge. Following their consultation, the team at LCG suggested an integrated payment solution, mobile order and pay functionality, and integration with Toggle Online e-commerce Gift Cards.
Impressed with the proposed solutions, The Bracebridge decided to purchase the recommended products. During the implementation process, the LCG team provided excellent onsite support and training, ensuring a smooth transition. Given the challenges with WiFi and phone signal in Sutton Park, the Compass IT team, a part of Langley, helped improve and boost signals, enabling seamless order taking and payment processing on the terrace and throughout the restaurant.
Results
Working with LCG had a significant impact on The Bracebridge, benefiting both staff and customers. The LCG team continue to provide an exceptional level of service and support, with engineers available even on weekends to address any issues promptly. The manual process of taking orders in the restaurant and on the terrace using pen and paper was transformed into a streamlined system with the supplied terminals from Langley.
The integration of all venues – the restaurant, a separate kiosk, and the ice cream kiosk – provided control and visibility over sales, stock, and employee performance. This enhanced efficiency improved the output and overall management of the business. Staff members were empowered with the new system, and customers experienced smoother transactions and enhanced service.
“Our new EPOS system has been amazing … the back office is great, I can update the system very quickly, and we can track everything that we are selling. It makes the life of the waiter and the manager much easier. I would recommend Langley Compass Group to any business, it’s a great system.”
Gilles Larroque, General Manager. The Bracebridge, Sutton Coldfield.

Looking ahead, the partnership with LCG will continue to support The Bracebridge in delivering exceptional dining experiences and further improving its business operations.
