Staycation is the new vacation

According to VisitBritains Bank Holiday Trip Tracker 12% of adults in Britain definitely plan to take a holiday in the UK over Easter  and 11% definitely plan to take a holiday in England. It’s Parents (59%) who are more likely to be planning or considering a trip at this time of year, compared to those without children (34%).

This means you could see an increase in visitors at your venues, whether thats a hotel, restaurant or leisure venue. Even if people aren’t staying away from home, most will still be off work over the Easter period due to it being a Bank Holiday.

Looking to attract families?

Consider creating family friendly offer and packages which cater for both children and adults. Maybe look into specific discounts for children or work with other local businesses to form partnerships with your services and offerings.

Don’t forget to train staff, prepare them and make them aware that it’s highly likely that there will be more children at your establishment Easter weekend. It sounds obvious, but aspects such as safety may need a little extra attention. Don’t forget to child proof areas that might otherwise be dangerous for children.

Could you create a getaway package deal?

If you run a spa or have leisure facilities, think about how you could create a break away from the everyday. Whether this is package deals with overnight stays, or even collaborating with local hotels if needed. Create offers and packages to entice people into using your facilities.
